My name is Julie Tuggle, broker/owner of Carolina Buyer’s Agent in Charlotte, NC. Since my husband and I were transferred to Charlotte in the early 70’s, we’ve watched Charlotte grow from a community of 100,000 people to the wonderful metro area we now enjoy with a myriad of available opportunities. Our children are Charlotte natives and have made us proud. We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
My career has been interesting and varied, from teaching, to social work to gift shop owner and currently a real estate broker. I hold a BS and MS from Syracuse University. I’ve been a licensed broker since the 80’s and have also completed all the course work to become an appraiser. Spending time with our family and especially being involved with our grandchildren is my favorite leisure activity.
My foremost goal is customer service, from the children and families I served as a classroom teacher, to my many customers as a retailer and currently to our buyer-clients who entrust me as their partner with the purchase of their home. A home is likely the most significant investment made in one’s lifetime. Buying a home can be an arduous experience. My privilege and my passion is being part of this process with a buyer. My obligation is to deliver exemplary service. My goal is getting the big, big smiles after closing that mean “Job Well Done”!
Charlotte and the surrounding area has grown by leaps and bounds, offering a fantastic quality of life and an endless variety of homes to choose from. It’s a pleasure and honor to be part of this amazing growth. When my I moved here with my wife Julie and daughter Jessi in 1991, Ballantyne was mostly farmland. Downtown – or “Uptown,” as most folks prefer – was DOA after sundown. Now, Ballantyne fairly hums with life, and Uptown is a destination spot for entertainment, the arts, and some of the finest food in the South.
After completing my MA in English at Wake Forest University, my interests in language and computers led to a career in the property and casualty insurance industry. I’ve had my real estate license since 2004, and thoroughly enjoy the challenge of this dynamic and ever-changing industry. My background in insurance underwriting and organizational development helped me appreciate the value of effective communication and customer service. My husband and I have lived in the Charlotte area with our three children and two pups since 2002. After living in many areas of the country, I can honestly say that Charlotte has stolen my heart. There is something for everyone here and with the mountains and beaches so close, great schools and a reasonable cost of living . . . you really can’t beat it.
After graduating from University of Michigan (Go Blue!!), I built a career in Information Technology helping clients build custom developed applications and managing strategic projects. But I’ve always loved real estate, so I switched careers and finally found my passion helping buyers navigate the home purchase process. My goal is to partner with my buyers and be their advocate on one of the most important investments they’ll ever make.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, practicing yoga and watching Michigan sporting events!
