Mint Hill Homes – Community Spirit and Pride
Spend a few hours driving around Mint Hill, and you’ll see the appeal of Mint Hill homes. With a population approaching 15,000, and situated in the southeastern corner of Mecklenburg County, Mill Hill offers both easy access to Charlotte via Charlotte’s I-485 outer loop, and a large number of horse farms and spacious rural properties in addition to single-family and multiple-family communities.
Mint Hill is noted for its commitment to community-building activities, including its Movies On The Lawn, which begins in May; its June Tune free concerts at the Town Hall; and a parade, rides, and food trucks to celebrate Mint Hill’s founding in what locals call the Mint Hill Madness Days, which take place over the Memorial Day weekend. Mint Hill’s active and influential civic and cultural organizations include an Arts and Science Council, Mint Hill Arts, and the Mint Hill Historical Society.
Its rural location affords a number of year-round recreational venues. The Veteran’s Memorial Park offers immaculately maintained soccer fields. The Mint Hill Athletic Association sponsors baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, soccer, and softball leagues for young people. And Mint Hill’s Park on Wilgrove offers tennis courts, playground equipment, hiking trails, and picnic facilities.
